As part of the Mosby Heritage Association's Converstations in History series, Douglas Batson, a Defense Department geographer and historian, will examine the evacuation of Loudoun and Fauquier Counties by Confederate forces on March 7, 1862. Batson’s presentation will be in first person as the commander in charge of the evacuation, General D.H. Hill. This talk will be given on the 150th anniversary of the Confederate evacuation.
